Year 5 had an amazing time in London this week visiting the Houses of Parliament and watching the fabulous ‘Lion King’. We also enjoyed taking in the sights as we walked past Downing Street, through Horse Guard’s Parade (during the ‘changing of the guard’) and St James’ Park, until finally we reached Buckingham Palace.
We were also very excited to visit Warner Bros. Harry Potter on our way to London. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring the story to life for the children before we start to use it in our English work next week.
Here are just a few pics from our trip. More to follow soon.
We hope that you all had a relaxing break and that the children are refreshed and ready for some challenges! This year your child will be taught by:
|Teacher: Mrs Daintith||Teaching Assistant: Mrs Worrall|
During the Autumn term, we will be studying ‘World War II’ in History. In Science, our topic is ‘Properties and Changes of Materials’. For RE, we will be exploring the theme ‘Jesus Bringer of Good News’, through Bible study and other sacred resources.
