This week in Early Years we are celebrating the Chinese New Year.
We started off the week with a Chinese Banquet- tasting noodles, rice, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable spring rolls, seaweed and prawn crackers.
Our children enjoyed a special Burns Night lunch today of neaps and tatties served with braised beef! It was delicious! Thank you to our wonderful kitchen team for throwing themselves into another great themed day! Lunchtimes at Latchford are so lovely!
Key Stage 2 looked rather different today! Children and staff turned into rock stars for the day, to promote Times Tables Rock Stars, a website that we are using in class and at home, and because a real life rock star visited us today!
We were joined by Jeff Rich, Status Quo drummer, who taught us about the history of drums and asked for some of us to join him at the front of the hall. As a finale, we all got to perform with him, and we are so excited that we are able to say that we have performed with a rock star!
