Talented Pupils Contribute to a Warrington Regeneration Masterplan!
Talented children in our KS2 department recently met with consultants from Kevin Murray Associates, an award-winning consultancy firm. They are working with Warrington Borough Council on their plans for the future…and they wanted our help. Our children are now involved in a town planning and regeneration project!
Jaz and Iain worked with our children to identify the parts of our town that are really great and worth keeping. The children also described the places locally that they feel need some attention. Finally, the children shared their experiences of local problems like congestion, litter, graffiti and people feeling left out of society (families who have recently moved into the area or who don’t have English as a first language).
The ideas, suggestions and proposals that the children came up with were stunning and Jaz and Iain have collected all of their ideas for the masterplan. The children’s next job is to write down their vision for the future of our town. Watch this space, we’ll share our regeneration plans with you soon…

Year 5’s London Assembly
This morning, Year performed their London assembly, telling us all about their epic adventure and everything they’ve learned along the way. It was awesome! We all danced along as they sang songs from ‘School of Rock’, including a couple of solos! A debate in the House of Commons was acted out all about a proposal to ban plastics too. The whole assembly was brilliant and made teachers, parents and governors feel very proud!
