On Thursday, Year 3 went to Chester. We walked through the historic city of Chester and were able to see some of the real remains of Roman buildings. We had a walking tour with a Roman soldier who taught us how to use our shields to defend ourselves from enemy attacks, and we also created the famous Testudo which was one of the key features to the success of the Roman army. We then had a guided talk through the Roman museum where we learned a lot about life in Roman Britain and all the things the Romans brought to our country. We had a brilliant day and learned so much!
