For arts week in Year 4 we studied the work of Georgia O’Keeffe.
O’Keeffe would paint flowers that covered her entire canvas, so we tried to recreate her work in our own way! We studied her techniques and the features of her artwork to create realistic paintings of flowers of our own.
However, we decided to put our own spin on O’Keeffe’s work. Rather than use brushes to paint our flowers and blend our colors we used sponges which allowed us to create very unique yet recognizable pieces of art.
