Firstly, please accept my apologies for the delay in posting. There was a small technical problem that has been resolved.
The learning this week will be based around the story “The Gingerbread Man”. Try to familiarise yourself with this story, if you do have access to the book that’s great, I will upload an Ebook version for those who do not.
Rehearse the rhyme “Run, run as fast as you can! You can’t catch me. I’m the Gingerbread Man!”
Can you say it aloud? Now try and whisper it. Say it in your Gruffalo voice. Say it in your mouse voice. Say it really fast. Now say it slow.
Can you think of 3 words that rhyme with a man? Write them down or draw them.
Without using the book, how much of the story do you remember? Retell the story to a grown-up. You could use the images attached as ‘sequencing’ to help you. If you have a printer you could print them out and try to put them in order.
I have attached a recipe for gingerbread playdough. Make your own gingerbread people, using loose parts collected from around the house have a thing what could you use for buttons, eyes and mouths.
