Reception Home Learning – Week Beginning 20/7/20
Well Reception, what a year it has been. You have shown such resilience and determination during these difficult times. Miss Peever, Mrs Bates and I are all very proud of every single one of you and all of your achievements throughout your time in Reception.
We hope you enjoy a well-deserved break during the Summer holidays. Your parents and carers have worked equally as hard and we thank you for your continued support.
Remember you are superstars, you can achieve and succeed. Keep trying your best and good luck in Year 1.
It has been a little while since you have practised writing your name. It is a good idea to do this each week to help you to remember all of the letters and form them correctly. This will be useful for Year 1.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
If you haven’t already seen it have a look at this video to see who your new teachers are!
Have you got any worries or questions about Year 1? Speak to a grown up about your feelings. Are you nervous? Excited? What are you looking forward to most?
In Year 1 there will be a big focus on phonics. It would be great for you to practise reading your tricky words, recall your phase 2 and 3 phonemes and apply them in your writing. You can write some simple sentences to teach Mrs Lloyd and Mrs Parkinson some facts about yourself. The website below has lots of phonics games for you to play.
Expressive Art and Design
Finally, to complete our learning for this year I’d like you to create a big piece of art work full of pictures of things that you like or hobbies that you enjoy! Don’t forget to send us a photo of your final piece of art to Latchford_primary@warringtov.gov.uk
