Hello year 1

We hope that you have enjoyed the half term holidays and had a relaxing break. Mrs Forshaw and I have been getting ready to welcome some of you back to school although until it is safe to do so, we will continue to support you all via online learning. Here are this weeks tasks:

I have added new activities on My Maths, these do change so please try and have a go at them.  If you did not get a high score the first time, have another try! log in username latchford  password divide 66 to access the school account, then your individual log in to get into your tasks

You also have your Numbots to continue with – look for the school name (postcode WA4 1AP) and then enter your user name and password.

Your Numbots log in can also be used for TT Rockstars which I have now also set an activity for – this week it is the 10 x table. Go onto and click login before entering your Numbots username and password to access your account.

We will be using BBC Bitesize for our maths lessons based on Counting within 50 this week.

Monday – Counting on and back in 1’s within 50

Tuesday – Counting on and back in 2’s within 50

Wednesday – Counting on and back in 5’s within 50

Thursday – Counting in 2’s to 50

Friday – Ordinal numbers



This weeks English is based around handwriting using both Oxford Owls and BBC Bitesize.

Oxford Owls – handwriting year 1 has a number of handwriting activities to focus on.

Activity 1 – Using one armed robot letters

Activity 2 – Forming long ladder letters correctly

Activity 3 – Forming zig zag letters correctly when writing short sentences

Activity 4 – Curly caterpillar lletters and the suffix -ly

There is an additional service available free from Warrington library using e books and audio books
