Hello Year 4! I hope everyone is well.
Thank you for all your hard work over the last two very strange weeks (parents and carers included). Since the next two weeks would have been the Easter break I won’t be setting any extra work for you to do but I still recommend you take some time to practice times tables and spellings, continue playing the educational games or even catching up on any of the work already set you haven’t yet completed online. Please do e-mail via Purple Mash if there are any issues or just to let me know what you’ve been up to!
Though there will be no new work, the whole school has been set a reading challenge!
If you check out the school website main page you’ll see all the information about our Latchford St James Extreme reading challenge! You’ll also see all of the teacher’s attempts as well as some of their own book reviews. We want to see you and even your family reading in the most extreme (while still safe) places you can think of! Snap a picture and email it to the school so we can see what you’re reading and just how extreme you can get!
Below you’ll find a book review template you could use to write a review of any books you read over the Easter break, it could even be changed and used as a film, TV show or game review if you feel like it!
I hope you enjoy this challenge and I cant wait to see your attempts!
One more thing! Since we all can’t go far over these Easter holidays I thought I would share this. A great big list of virtual tours you can take of some amazing museums, zoos, landmarks and many more! You could even write a review of one of these virtual tours if you felt like it! I hope you enjoy! My favourite is the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum you will find in the Space and Planets section!
Have a lovely Easter break, stay safe and happy reading!
