Hello Year 6.  A huge well done to those of you who completed last week’s tasks!  I hope you all enjoyed some fun time in the sunshine too!  Welcome to home learning, week 2.  Let’s keep up the good work this week before a well deserved Easter break.   You will find your learning tasks for week beginning 30 March below.  Remember, this is one week’s worth of work; you can work at your own pace.  It’s up to you how you manage your tasks and when you complete them.  Again, don’t forget, you can email me on Purple Mash if you have questions.  Have a good week.

Writing

Work through the writing activities for ‘Zipwire’ on Pobble365 (Jan 10th).  If you can print at home, you could complete your work in ‘Word’ then stick a copy into your English book otherwise, lovely handwriting please.  I’d love to see some of your writing; please email me a copy on Purple Mash.  I’ve outlined an example of how you could plan your week, below.

Monday – read the story starter and think about the questions to help you generate some ideas for your own writing (will you write a narrative, diary entry, newspaper report, blog? It’s up to you!)

Tuesday – complete the ‘sentence challenge’ and ‘sick sentences’ activities (this work should appear in your final piece).

Wednesday – complete the picture perfect comic strip (this will help you plan your writing in pictures).

Thursday/Friday – finally compose your writing remembering to include all the amazing writing tools you have learnt to use (can you include a passive sentence, for example?)
