A huge welcome to Year 1 from myself and Miss Fives
My name is Miss Wilding. I am an ECT in my second year, soon to be qualified this Summer.
I am full of enthusiasm and energy and I ensure my lessons are fun, engaging and exciting to keep the children engaged and wanting to learn.
In Year 1, we had continuous provision in Autumn term that ran alongside the curriculum. Continuous provision helps children to learn many skills. It challenges children's thinking, helps them embed concepts and also allows them the opportunity to grow their independence. During Spring and Summer term we are starting to prepare the children for Year 2 through more formal learning.

Year 1 are working hard in preparation for the phonics screening check during Summer term
A few important details:
PE kit - Wednesday and Fridays
Uniform- Make sure your name is in ALL of your clothes, shoes and water bottle
Homework- Spelling goes home on a Friday to be returned on the following Thursday ready for our spelling quiz.
